Our story began in 1951, when the visionary entrepreneur Shri. C. Thiraviyam Nadar founded Eye Clock Fibres in Kanyakumari, Tamil Nadu. At a time when the coir industry was still in its infancy, he laid the foundation for what would become one of South India's most respected coir enterprises. His expertise in manufacturing premium Coir Fibre, Two-Ply and Three-Ply Yarn, and High-Quality Mattress Fibre quickly earned widespread recognition for superior quality and reliability.
In the 1980s, Eye Clock Fibres expanded into the production of premium Coir Bristle Fibre for buffing wheel applications. The exceptional durability, strength, and finishing quality of our bristle fibre established new industry standards and positioned the company as a preferred supplier across domestic and international markets.
The true transformation came in 2002, when Shri. T. Yasotharan identified the enormous potential of coco peat—a by-product that was once discarded as waste after fibre extraction. With remarkable foresight and entrepreneurial spirit, he established the first coco peat manufacturing plant in Kanyakumari district.
This revolutionary step not only transformed agricultural waste into a highly valuable horticultural substrate but also created a new industrial benchmark for the region. What was once considered a disposal problem became one of the most sought-after growing media in global horticulture.
